Bay & Washington County, Florida
Your AC quit. We’ll tell you straight what it needs.
Right by Me AC is owned by a lifetime local and staffed by technicians who work on Gulf Coast systems every day. You get current diagnostic equipment and a neighbor’s honesty — not a commissioned sales pitch.
Same-day service calls across Bay County when you call before 2pm.
- Lifetime localBorn and raised here. We work where we live, and the reputation follows us to the grocery store.
- State-certifiedFlorida Certified A/C Contractor, licence CAC1824779. Fully insured, workers’ comp on file with both counties.
- Permit-readyRegistered with Bay County and Washington County building departments. We pull the permit; you don’t chase it.
- No commission, no pressureOur techs are not paid to sell you a system. If a $180 repair buys you three more years, that is what we will tell you.
What we do
Most people find us because something stopped working. We’d rather fix it than replace it, and we’ll say so.
AC Repair & Service
Not cooling, short-cycling, leaking water, breaker tripping. Diagnosed properly the first time.

When repair stops making financial sense. Load-calculated, permitted, and installed to last in this climate.

Two visits a year, priority scheduling, and no surprise breakdown in August.

Humidity, dust, allergies, and the duct problems behind most of them.

Three things to check before you call anyone
We would rather you fix it in five minutes for free than pay us to flip a breaker. Genuinely.
- The breaker. Check both the indoor air handler breaker and the outdoor disconnect. If it trips again immediately, stop and call — that is an electrical fault, not a reset.
- The filter. A filter that has gone grey and matted will freeze a coil solid and mimic a failed compressor. Pull it. If light will not pass through it, replace it.
- The thermostat batteries. A dying thermostat drops the call for cooling intermittently, which reads exactly like a failing system.
Past that, you are into refrigerant, capacitors and control boards — and those need gauges and a meter. That is where we come in.
What it costs
Published, because a company that will not tell you a number until a technician is standing in your living room is telling you something.

Questions we get asked a lot
Do you charge for a diagnostic?
$89 during normal hours, and we waive it entirely if you go ahead with the repair. After-hours and weekends are $149. You will never get a bill you did not agree to first.
How fast can you get here?
Call before 2pm on a weekday and we can usually be there the same day anywhere in Bay County. Lynn Haven, Callaway, Parker and Springfield are often same-hour. Washington County runs on a scheduled route — call and we will tell you the honest next opening rather than guess.
Will you try to sell me a new system?
No. Our technicians are not on commission, which removes the incentive entirely. If a repair gets you three more seasons, we will quote the repair. When replacement genuinely is the better financial call, we will show you the arithmetic rather than the scare story.
Do you pull permits?
Yes, on every job that needs one, and we are registered with both the Bay County and Washington County building departments to do it. A system changeout without a permit is a problem that surfaces when you sell the house.
Are you licensed and insured?
Florida Certified A/C Contractor, licence CAC1824779. General liability and workers’ compensation certificates are on file with both counties and we will hand you copies without being asked.
